CMF surgery elite mingle at Davos Courses
The world elite in craniomaxillofacial surgery had the opportunity to rub shoulders at an official AO CMF reception on the sidelines of the Davos Courses 2017, where they witnessed the launch of a new Surgery Reference module and a promotional video.
Membership in AO CMF grants a host of benefits including the chance to network, build mentorships, exchange knowledge and discuss best practices with the world's leading surgeons, including in the setting of the Davos Courses, the flagship surgical educational event.
"Today represents a very important day for AO CMF," said Daniel Buchbinder, the new Chair of the AO Technical Commission (AOTK) and AO CMF International Board Member. He praised the AO CMF community for its hard work in updating Surgery Reference with a facial nerve module, a unique addition to the global body of surgical literature.
"This is truly one of the special modules we were able to put together," he said. "There's nothing like that available anywhere else. We're offering it to all our members at no cost, so it's truly a very good benefit for being part of the AO CMF community," he added.
The module was authored by Damir Matic and John Yoo. Other notable attendees included Warren Schubert, AO CMF International Board Chair and Sabine Girod AO CMF Community Development Chair.
"It's truly a very good benefit for being part of the AO CMF community."

More than 100 AO CMF chairs, faculty and members mingled at the event in a venue on the town's main Promenade, before being treated to the premiere screening of a new promotional video.
"This is a very special video to market the Surgery Reference," Buchbinder added.
