The latest approved CMF innovations showcased by the AO Technical Commission

04 December 2019

The latest edition of Innovations magazine is available online now. Showcasing the most recently AO approved solutions, Innovations offers you insight into cutting edge treatments and tools.

In this issue: a focus on craniomaxillofacial distraction.

CMF distraction is used for lengthening or bone transport to correct congenital deficiencies or acquired defects in the mandible, midface, or cranium. The new CMF Distractor featured in Innovations 2019 may look similar the pre-existing system, but there are some key differences: the distraction bodies are approximately 5 mm longer in the latest version. This aims to improve performance in important areas, offering an improved experience for clinician and patient alike.

Enhancements include features designed to deliver a smoother, more controlled, application and reliable results.
